Ground & Restore – an afternoon of deep rest.

With Becca Mclachlan & Marianne Bayes

Saturday April 25th 1.30pm – 4.30pm

Meditation, Nerve Flossing, Yin Yoga, Hot Stones, Yoga Nidra, Auricular Acupressure.

Who is this for?

This afternoon is perfect for you if you:

🌿Feel stressed, overwhelmed or in need of a reset

🌿Need a pause from the busyness of the world

🌿Would like to calm your nervous system and release tension in the body

🌿Are looking for a gentle, nurturing experience — no yoga experience required.

All practices are slow, supportive and suitable for beginners as well as those who already enjoy yoga or movement.

Step away from the pace of everyday life and give your body the space it needs to soften, unwind and reset.

This deeply restorative afternoon is designed to gently support and regulate the nervous system through a series of calming, therapeutic practices.

We begin with meditation to help settle the body & mind before moving into nerve flossing, subtle movements that help release tension and improve communication within the nervous system. From here, we move into a grounding yin yoga practice, allowing the body to open gradually while encouraging deep relaxation. Throughout this practice, warm stones will be placed on the body to soothe the muscles and decrease stress in the nervous system, settling into a deeper state of rest and safety. We will then take a tea break, during this time you will also have the option of receiving auricular acupressure from Marianne, a gentle therapy that works through stimulating specific points in the ear to help calm the nervous system, reduce stress and restore balance – allowing you to take the benefits of the afternoon home with you.

The afternoon will gently close with a guided Yoga Nidra, a practice of conscious meditation that invites deep physical, mental and emotional restoration.

This afternoon offers space to pause, soften and reconnect with yourself. You will leave feeling grounded, restored and deeply nourished.

Spaces will be limited to keep the experience calm and personal.

The cost for the afternoon is £55 (FULLY BOOKED JOIN  WAIT LIST)

Root To Bloom led by Becca Mclachlan is the signature movement practice within the retreat day. A grounding, strengthening and uplifting session designed to complement your Forest Therapy and Flower arranging workshop.

The practice begins from the ground up with Yin Yoga. We start by nourishing the roots. Close to the earth, we hold poses for longer to hydrate the tissues, gently opening the body. This is steady, foundational work that encourages calm and connection.

From there, we move into Pilates, strengthening the trunk. Through controlled, intentional movements, we build core strength, improve posture and create stability through the centre of the body. Like a strong stem, this phase supports everything above it — balanced, resilient and aligned.

Finally, we rise into Flow — the bloom. Breath-led, fluid sequences integrate strength and mobility, allowing you to move with greater ease and confidence. This is where the foundation underneath translates into lightness, expression and energy.

Forest Therapy is a mindful, sensory immersion that supports relaxation, emotional and physical well-being. Lady Northampton will guide you on a gentle, unhurried walk through the estate’s woodlands and gardens, inviting you to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with the trees, sounds, and scents of the landscape.

In Emma Remington’s  flower arranging workshop you will learn how to create a beautiful arrangement to take home using seasonal British blooms and eco-friendly techniques. Guided step by step, we will explore natural textures, colour harmony, and simple design principles while working with locally sourced flowers and foliage. It is the perfect way to unwind, get creative, and enjoy the calming ritual of arranging flowers.
